Gulifeiya Abuduxike had completed a bachelor’s degree in Medicine from Xi’an JiaoTong University in China. After graduation, she had worked as a health physician at the Disease Prevention and Control Center in Xinjiang Autonomous Region in Xinjiang, China for three years. During these years, she had worked at the No. 2 people’s hospital in Urumqi as a gynecologist and obstetrician for a year and had also been involved in several local and national projects. From 2006 to 2015, she had continued her Master's and Ph.D. studies in the faculty of medicine at National University of Malaysia (UKM) in the field of public health. At the same time, she had worked as a research officer at the United Nations University - International Institute for Global Health (UNU-IIGH) for four years and participated in national projects funded by the Malaysian government. During 2012-2013, had worked as a Healthcare Industry Analyst at the Asia Pacific regional office of Frost & Sullivan Global Consultancy Company. In 2016, she worked at the public health institute in Hacettepe university as a lecturer, and the subsequent year, she had continued her career as a Research Fellow (post-doctoral fellow) at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technology University in Singapore. After returning to Turkey, she had joined the public health department of Ankara Yildirim Beyazit University as an Assistant Professor untill the end of 2017. Since Feb 2018, she has been working at the department of public health, faculty of medicine at Near East University as an assistant professor in public health. In March 2022, she has earned Associate professor position.
Her main teaching and research interests are in the areas of Women’s and Child Health, Adolescents’ Sexual and Reproductive Health, Family Planning and Contraceptive Methods, Epidemiology, and Evidence-Based Medicine.
